Equilibrium(what is ‘normal’ life of characters
Michael goes to Sierra Leone on a family holiday. On the holiday he goes camping, relaxing on the beach and his dad teaches Michael how to shoot as Michael’s dad was a gunner in the UK army.
Disruption (to normal life)
Michael travels back to the UK and starts to feel very ill and sick (diarrhoea, nausea and vomiting). They go to a famous specialist doctor (famous for being the first to cure Abslinth). Michael gets cured from Abslinth. However everyone that takes the cure turns into a zombie. But Michael remains normal.
Recognition (of the disruption+ plan to resolve it)
Michael researches a cure and finds out the cure actually changes the sequence in the DNA. He does the research in a university lab. He finds out how to turn everyone back into humans. However, Michael needs a specific chemical that the doctor has to make the cure. The zombie army is controlled by the doctor. More people turn into zombies due to them getting bitten by a zombie.
Repair (action is taken to resolve the disruption)
Michael finds his father’s gun collection in the basement under his house. Michael then sets off to go and kill the doctor who is safe guarding the chemical he needs in order to turn everyone back to normal. On the way there is lots of bloody violence and strong language.
Return (to the equilibrium-or establishing new normality)
Michael gets the chemical he needs; he then formulates the cure in his lab to finally turn everyone back to normal. He needs a way to spread the cure over the zombies so complies it into a bomb and throws it and the chemical explodes and slowly everyone who is a zombie turns back to normal.
Binary Oppositions
Brave- We see Michael takes on the zombie army and is in charge of getting everything back to normal on his own. Cowardly- The Doctor we see is very cowardly in the fact that he turns everyone into zombies to fight his battle of ruling the world. Protagonist- Michael, Antagonist- Doctor Degun.
