How I edited my title sequence.

In my final edit I used lots of editing techniques to make sure my title sequence fulfilled the horror genre conventions For example in my sequence I used a range of transitions and effects layered on top of the original clips I used. These effects layered on top of the original clips where to create a much more sinister and dark mood to fulfil the horror genre conventions. I used a rain and darkening effect on a clip where the the person looks at their hands and sees lots and lots of blood. This darkening effect and rain effect adds lots of enigmas and fulfils the conventions of a horror genre being very spooky and dark and scary. I also used lots of transitions to create a smooth transition between clips, I managed to create a transition using Final Cut Pro X that mimics and eye opening and closing. This transition was useful for the surgery scene as it creates an exciting element as we witness how the person is feeling in the first person and we see what is going on from his perspective. This is unique for any horror genre but I think the whole first person view allows the audience to be emiresed into what is going on and will create an even more scary element which horror genre audiences will love.
